Dennis is the President and Founder of the Richards Group. He takes a consultative approach to his customers by listening to their needs, coming up with solutions, and making sure that they have a better understanding of sometimes confusing insurance terms and products. Dennis has assembled a licensed sales professional team that has over 35 years of insurance experience to work with our customers.
Since 1995, Dennis has been building his insurance career. He started at Northwestern Mutual Life selling Life and Disability products until 1998 when he began working at a major national insurance carrier with Individuals and Families and Commercial Small Group businesses for their insurance needs. While in his most recent role, Dennis was Nationally recognized as a top salesperson for both Individual and Small Group sales.
Professionally, Dennis served on the Board of Directors for the Independent Insurance Association of WI (2012-2015) and was a Member of the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters (WAHU). He has also taught Continuing Education for insurance for the past 8 years throughout Wisconsin.
Dennis has been a youth baseball coach for his 2 boys for the past 6 years. He served on the Board of Directors as Vice President for Boys Rec Baseball for Lake Country Youth Baseball (2013-2015). He has volunteered for the American Lung Association, American Heart Association, The Park People, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Dennis has completed many triathlons and competed in the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in Miami. In 2014 he completed the Tough Mudder and his first marathon. One of Dennis’ goals is to run in the Chicago Marathon. He also enjoys Packers football, watching movies, and spending time with his wife Christine, their 5 children, and 2 dogs.
